If you mail to the same consumer list more than once, you will realize that you're probably only going to get roughly 65% of the response that you received the first time out. If you mail it a third time you'll find that it's probably somewhere around 50% of what you did the first time. This is true for consumer lists, but the numbers go even lower when mailing to businesses. When you're mailing to businesses, institutions or professions a second use of the same lists may produce results as low as 25%. This is why it's important to give each mailing a unique feel and spread them out wisely.
