The Basic Components of your Direct Mail Offer

There are six basic points of information that you're trying to communicate to the people who open your direct mail envelopes. The information that needs to be given is: whether the product is a good or service (something generally not available in stores), the price, the terms of payment, the time limit (you should have one to create a sense of urgency), any incentives that are offered, and what your guarantee of satisfaction is. If it's a service then a guarantee of satisfaction should be worded carefully, it's easy to exchange a product, but a service is a little bit more complicated to return through direct mail.
