People often ask "Does it pay to follow up mailings with a phone call to those who did not respond?". The answer really isn't a simple yes or no, but it may be best to involve a test. You might find sometimes that telemarketing can indeed turn a non-sale into a customer. This however, is not guaranteed to work every time. At some points it may be a waste of your time, but direct mail followed by telemarketing has been known to generate 2-10 times the response of normal direct mail. Allot depends on who's on your client list, so test it out.
