Use a friendly style in Direct Mail Marketing

When writing your direct mail ad copy it is important that you write in a clear, simple, conversational, natural style. Advertising copy should not sound pompous or aloof. People do not respond to these qualities. The most effective direct mail advertising copy is written in a style that sounds the way a sincere person would talk if he/she was trying to help you solve a problem. Helping your customer solve some problem in their life is really what you're trying to do. "Customer Friendly" ads have several things in common: simply language, short sentences, and the copy addresses the reader directly.
