Using Response Devices in Direct Mail Marketing

Sometimes it's better not to include only a reply card with

your mailing, mostly when asking for a large pledge of money

or any highly personal information, such as a medical

appointment, or religious counseling.

The best way to tell whether or not you should have a

response card is to test it.

You can also probably figure this out by just using common

sense. How would you feel filling out a response card for your

particular product. If you think the information needed is too

personal to get through direct mail, then don't go with just a

response card.
