Multiple Options and Orders in Direct Mail Marketing

If you have multiple options for ordering on your response card,

such as one year or three year subscriptions, or a regular or

deluxe package, than you should test using more than one

order form or try placing each option on a separate order form.

It can increase sales if you leave your prospect with a choice

of which order form to return, rather than a choice of simply

ordering or not ordering.

This technique is called the "hot potato technique" and has

been proven to work in direct mail.
