"Down Selling" in Direct Mail Marketing

"Down Selling" your product can frequently increase your overall response. If the first promotion you send out offers your product at full price, you will naturally be able to sell to your most interested customers. The next direct mail promotion you send out for it might offer a smaller quantity or be at a special price. The third direct mail promotion may have a different more attractive payment feature than your previous promotions. Your fourth direct mail promotion can tie in another product. It is recommended you do this if selling the product independently, but if not, always consult your supplier.
