Promoting a Clearance Sale in Direct Mail Marketing

When you have a large inventory of products that has not been moved yet, then it is time to promote a "clearance sale" event. Offer a special inventory sales clearance price, but make certain that you explain clearly that this is a one time only offering that will not be happening again anytime soon. If you have annual "inventory clearance sales" you will discover that people will wait for that annual direct mail sale to come along before they buy anything. Not using clearance sales frequently will keep your credibility high.
